Tummy Tuck by Dr. Christine Blaine

Sometimes a strict diet and exercise regime are not enough to get you the waistline you have been striving for. If you have lost a great deal of weight, you are left with loose, saggy skin that hangs over your abdomen and looks unappealing. You deserve to flaunt your new body, not hide it. If you are suffering from excess skin then you are a perfect candidate for an abdominoplasty, also known as a “tummy tuck” for more information please contact Dr. Christine Blaine.

Abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck” involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdomen wall, giving you the firm stomach you’ve always wanted.

Massive weight loss is not the only reason you may find yourself considering abdominoplasty. You may also have acquired stretch marks from pregnancy, aging, or even from a previous surgery, discuss your problem with Dr. Christine Blaine today.

Procedure:
Depending on the severity of your particular situation, this procedure may take anywhere from 1-4 hours. This will also determine whether your surgery will be an in-patient or outpatient procedure. You will be given general anesthesia, so it is crucial that you have someone with you to drive you home from the appointment, as well as to take care of you following the procedure.

The procedure will either be a complete abdominoplasty, or a mini tummy tuck. If you are required to have the full tummy tuck procedure, the incision will be made just above the pubic hairline, with the length of the incision depending on the amount of excess skin you have. Dr. Blaine will then construct the skin and muscles accordingly, so that everything remains flat and firm. Another incision will also be made to your belly button in order to free your navel area from the surrounding tissue.

You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair.
