Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin Treatments at Blaine Plastic Surgery

Blaine Plastic Surgery is happy to offer a variety of neurotoxins, including Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, to patients interested in improving the appearance of both static and dynamic lines of the upper face. By far one of the most popular non-surgical treatments offered nationwide, this quick and easy injectable service can make huge improvements in the facial appearance of both male and female patients. Often considered a ‘corrective’ treatment, these injections are also preventative, helping you achieve and preserve a youthful and refreshed appearance.

All facial lines begin as dynamic lines that are created and intensified with repetitive facial movement and the contraction of facial muscles. Over time, these lines that used to be present only when expressing can become more static and ingrained in the skin. This progression ultimately ages the skin of the forehead, glabella (region between the eyebrows) and crow’s feet (around the eyes) and one’s overall facial appearance.

What are the Benefits of Botox?

Facial wrinkles, no matter where they are located, can drastically age your appearance. Repeated facial expressions (such as smiling, frowning, and squinting) bring about unwanted wrinkles and premature age lines, but Botox can tackle these blemishes and give you a smoother and more youthful appearance. Botox injections are FDA-approved and use a form of botulinum toxin diluted to a very safe level which blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. When these muscles are immobilized and unable to contract (the goal of your Botox injection), the wrinkles in the affected areas will soften and become less noticeable over time. Botox is a non-invasive treatment that takes only a few minutes to perform, and can drastically improve the appearance of frown lines of the glabella, forehead wrinkles, and lines around the eyes. Results from your Botox injection can be seen within 5 to 7 days of your injection, lasting 3 to 4 months, giving your face a fresh look and getting you back to feeling more confident and comfortable in your own skin.

What are the Benefits of Dysport?

Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) is another FDA-approved injectable option that focuses on making the face look fresher, smoother, and younger. The specific focus area of Dysport is between the eyebrows, where frown lines commonly occur but can be used on the forehead and crow’s feet as well. Similarly to Botox, Dysport temporarily prevents muscle movements in the forehead, glabella, and crow’s feet softening any lines found in these regions. Dysport injections take only minutes to perform, and results from your treatment are usually realized within 2 to 3 days and will last approximately 3 to 4 months!

What are the Benefits of Xeomin?

Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a newer FDA-approved neurotoxin option considered to be purer and more ‘organic’ than both Botox and Dysport. Appealing to many patients because it does not contain as many preservatives/additives as other neurotoxin options currently available, Xeomin can be used to treat lines of the forehead, glabella and crow’s feet. Similar to Botox, the results of your Xeomin treatment will be visible within 5-7 days of your treatment and the benefit will typically last for 3 to 4 months!
